A Cup of Coffee, A Rainy Saturday Morning

English: Storm clouds with silver lining, Lond...

The kitchen window

shines a silver light

Clouds and rain

a nigh time comfort

now a morning complement

to cream in my Saturday

coffee. The computer

screen shines a silver

light in the warmth

of home

Clouds and

rain a muse teasing

but not revealing.

The clouds, the window,

the screen, the light merge

into one.

But the screen is still blank,

the coffee now cold.

So pour another cup,

sit in on the porch

drink in the rain, the brisk air,

the breeze, the clouds,

the time, the moment.

There’s still a whole day

to make a difference.
